For players

Placed by what
you know

A nine year old in their fourth season and a nine year old in their first need different things. Five tiers, chosen by a few questions about experience rather than by a birthday.

The five tiers

  1. 1First GloveWhich way to run, and what the bases are for
  2. 2The SandlotWhere the ball goes when it is hit to you
  3. 3The CageWhy it goes there, and what happens next
  4. 4The DiamondWhat to think about before the pitch is thrown
  5. 5Under the LightsReading the whole field at once

Nothing is locked. The step back is always there, and so is the step up — a player who wants the harder version can have it, and one who wants the basics can find them on every screen.

There is no account. A device joins a team with a code from the coach, and gets an anonymous token. No name, no email, no sign-up form.

Nothing on the player side can see a roster, and nothing links a device back to a child in the database. The privacy page has the specifics.
